Consumption during pregnancy and lactation:

Replacement therapy with thyroid medication should be continued during pregnancy, and if hypothyroidism is diagnosed during pregnancy, treatment is necessary. Diagnosis should be based on measurement of serum thyrotropin levels (due to decreased serum thyroxine concentrations in pregnant women).
During pregnancy, the need for thyroid replacement therapy increases and the dose may need to be increased.
Breastfeeding Minimal amounts of the hormone are secreted into breast Milk. However, the Administration of thyroid hormones in breastfeeding Mothers should be done with extreme Caution.
Medicine interactions
1. Lyotyronine enhances the antidepressant effect of tricyclics and coumarin anticoagulants.
2. Cholestyramine reduces the absorption of lyotyronine.
